Pizarro's agent absolutely livid with River rumours

Pizarro's agent claimed earlier today that the move to River Plate was never on the cards. He has insisted that Pizarro wants to prove his worth in the premier league n the move away from the Stamford Bridge is unlikely..

Pizarro’s future at Stamford Bridge has been the subject of debate after he scored just two goals in 21 Premier League appearances following a free transfer move from Bayern Munich last summer.

Real Betis and Paris Saint Germain have both been linked with the Peru international and River president Jose Maria Aguilar recently claimed he was offered the player but Pizarro’s wage demands proved prohibitive.

Now the player’s agent has stated that his client is hoping to stay in West London and that a return to South America is not on the agenda.

"Seven European teams have asked for him and I told them all the truth: Claudio wants to stay at Chelsea and it is pointless to continue talking about a move that will not happen,” Carlos Delgado told Radio Programas Peru.

"However, he has options. Claudio is free to decide. He is fighting for a place in one of the most important clubs in the world, but at the end he will have to take a decision.

"Someone was bored and released that crazy news. Not only because River can't afford Claudio's contract but also because he is not interested in South America at all.

"He has a contract with Chelsea and wants to play in Europe. This idea is as crazy as Universitario or Alianza signing (Hernan) Crespo."
