Rumours had it that the Ukranian hitman was heading back to Milan after a nightmare of a spell at Chelsea. The former AC Milan star failed to live up to his hefty price tag of 30 million pounds scoring a handful of goals during his 2 injury hit seasons at Stamford Bridge.
AC Milan have never hidden their desire of bringing back one of their most devastating strikers back to the San Siro, publicaly admiting an interest in him on a number of times. However it now seems that new Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is keen on giving Shevchenko a chance which has put paid to any deal.
"He's not for sale" said Galliani. "I've asked officially and Roman Abramovich said no. So we must be serious and disciplined.
"Should a club say no, we must accept. It means we have to think of something else" he added.
